This Privacy Policy explains how RoleFit CV, a macOS resume editor and PDF generator, handles information.
Information RoleFit CV handles
- Resume and document data: contact details, career history, education, skills, role settings, imported job descriptions, generated PDFs, and PDF access history that you create or provide in the app.
- Optional community profile: a username and profile photo that you choose to publish.
- Optional community content: resume PDFs and thumbnails you choose to publish, their role and layout information, comments you post, reports you submit, and users you block.
- Subscription status: RoleFit CV checks your App Store entitlement to determine whether Pro features are available.
How information is used and stored
- Resume content, imported job descriptions, and PDF generation are processed on your Mac.
- Generated PDFs, their metadata, and PDF access history are stored in the app sandbox using Core Data. When iCloud is available, this private library syncs through your private CloudKit database.
- Community features require iCloud. A pseudonymous identifier derived from your iCloud user record associates your community data without displaying your Apple ID.
- Your username, profile photo, published resume PDF and thumbnail, role and layout information, and comments are stored in CloudKit’s public database and can be viewed by other RoleFit CV users.
- Reports are stored in CloudKit for community safety. Your blocked-user list is stored in your private CloudKit database.
Subscriptions
RoleFit CV Pro subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes payment information. RoleFit CV does not receive or store your card or banking details.
Tracking and third parties
- RoleFit CV does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs.
- RoleFit CV does not sell your personal information.
- Apple provides the App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, and CloudKit services used by the app. Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Your choices and deletion
- Community participation is optional. A resume is public only after you choose to publish it.
- You can unpublish your public resume, delete your own comments, remove your profile photo, or delete your community profile from within RoleFit CV.
- Deleting the community profile removes its username claim, profile, published resume, comments, reports, and blocked-user records. It does not cancel an App Store subscription or delete PDFs in your private library.
- You can delete generated PDFs from the app’s PDF library. Information synchronized through iCloud may also be managed through your Apple account and iCloud controls.
