This is my first time experience about F1 Singapore
I bought walkabout ticket. (Because I was too late to decide to attend this event)
Things to know before you entering the gate!
Visit your favorite team’s store. I visited Raffles City Shopping Mall.
It’s amazing experience. You can see the formula car.
Buy item at Shopping Mall what you want to – Don’t buy item in a F1 Zone. Price is crazy different!
I bought it at Raffle City Shopping Mall. It is 50 SGD. I was very surprised it’s price at F1 official shop in Zone 4. Its price is over 120 SGD. Did you get all items? Let’s enter the gate!
Zone 4 is amazing!
I can access any Zone4 area except for seating area. It was amazing.
Singapore GP has official app and It provide the detailed map.
First, I visited tatoo printing shop. It is free. You can get your tatoo within 3 seconds.
Visit Viewing Points before starting racing!
2 viewing points are very good. I can see racing without any distractions.
Foods and Drinks
This is 27 SGD, ordered at Hard Rock Cafe. Price is a bit expensive but it’s not bad.
Tip for you
In a Zone 4, There are some restaurants near Statue of Merlion. This stores was there not a temporary Foods and Drinks stores. So price is much better than temporary stores.
For example, 1 beer near F1 Padang area is around 15-17 SGD. But near the Merlion It’s price just 7-8 SGD. Much cheaper.
Before Sprint Qualifying
There are 2 racing events and 1 K-Pop concerts.
Porche AR Box Carrera Cup Asia – Practice Session
Visit Viewing Point and see what you expect at this viewing point. Honestly I don’t know any driver informations about Porche Carrera Cup Asia. But It was fun! You can learn and expect which Viewing Point is the best to see F1.
Formula 1 First Practice Session
It’s a very interesting session. You can see your supported drivers. I recommend visiting the curveted corse viewing point. They drive carefully and slowly to pass the corners. That means it’s chance to see driver.
k-Pop Concert – Cortis
I listened to their musics and It is an amazing performance! I was seating fan zone around 5:00 PM until start performance. It was 7:30 PM.
If you want to see performance very closely, you must stand at least 3 hours. But If you are okay to see them a bit far, I think it’s fine you come Padang around 6:30 – 7:00 PM.
The main Friday Event – Sprint Qualifying
After K-Pop performance, I visit the viewing point.
But I couldn’t get viewing point. It’s too late. I was wait for 10 minutes. (second qualifying is almost finish)
Finally I get into the viewing point. And watched the final one
If you have workout ticket, I highly recommend downloading the F1 official app. You can see the real time scores.
Many viewing points you can’t see the big screens.
Conclusion: How was my first F1 experience?
It was amazing! I definitely want to attend this event next year! BUT about the walkout ticket? Well I want to secured my seat instead waiting a long queue to see the racing!
Because I’m no longer young haha I need a seat and relax.
I’m very happy and had a really great memory. Money wise, it’s not a cheap ticket but worth to spend money. It made me such a great memory in Singapore with my wife. This great experience and memory and what I felt will be remain in my heart for a long time.
